Makes 4 cups
6 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
2.5 cups mayonnaise
1.25 cups sour cream
1 teaspoon fresh garlic, chopped
3 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ cup buttermilk *
In a large bowl mix all the ingredients together (except the blue cheese) until well blended.
Add the blue cheese without over mixing to retain chunks of the cheese in the dressing.
Note: Water can be substituted for the buttermilk, and if the dressing is a little too thick, add more water or buttermilk.
